| About Pygméteatern |
Pygméteatern has been in existence for 25 years.
Visual artists and musicians originally formed the group.
In their desire to experiment they discovered shadow puppetry, the perfect combination of visual image,
music and drama. We have since that time evolved into a highly professional theatre group that mixes shadow
puppetry with puppets, masks and actors.
We have our own theatre in Stockholm but are mostly on the road, touring throughout Sweden and the rest of
Scandinavia. During the past 15 years we have successfully taken part in theatre festivals around the
world winning prizes for our artistry.
Pygméteatern consists of founding members Sten Wallin
and Michael Koitzsch and have in recent years been
joined by actors Mia Ståhl Broborg and Mats Johanson, and producers
Vesna Stanisic and
Brita Cronvall.
